A new year...a new beginning

Day 1

01.01.11; Imagine this unique date, heralding the New Year would only repeat after 1000 years…! Thought of associating with it in some way, hence this attempt to scribble something and placate it to a prominent place on this post.
1st of Jan is a day when I always feel there is a lot of positivity in the air. Effort, time and money is spent to wish your near and dear ones good health, success, happiness and peace in the year to come. They in turn wish there close ones and it multiplies manifold and I guess the day ends with lots of good will and compassion exchanged keeping malice at bay. When wishes congregate you achieve almost everything you have set your hearts on..!

The entire year round, all of us look forward for encouragement, appreciation and at times criticism too, for it helps to correct oneself and bounce back. A status update or a comment on ‘facebook’ is checked eagerly after posting it to see how many have ‘liked’ it or commented back. The tendency to huddle and group oneself is to gain from the collective strength the assembly harnesses. With a strong support system, the vagaries of life would seem easy to handle.

In this New Year, I am trying to attempt what I have been shying away from quite some time: Blogging. I don’t know how regular I would be posting as it’s a grueling process to put words to your thoughts. I guess to reflect on your day and events helps you take stock and prepare for the next day. Blogging also allows you to vent out your sincere views across issues which affected or touched you and not feel helpless at being silent otherwise.
So, this first day went by receiving and sending good wishes across different communication mediums. New Year wishes via sms’s sometimes surprise you, when you receive many sms’s from people not from your contact list as you had deleted them long back but they still hold you in theirs. It’s with a sense of guilt you restore them back in your phone book and try to make amends with personalizing the sms when replying it back.
With 1.1.11 gone forever in history I, The Beholder seeks to perceive earnestly how the years unfold ahead.
A happy new year

Bro good to see you finally on the blog scene. I suppose it was just a matter of time; you were mulling over it for quite some time. Look forward to more from your pen....
