One more day in life

Day 9

11.01.2011 : 10:22 PM

When physical fatigue sets in, it bolts the mind too. Or maybe the mind takes the body to a quiescent state and rejuvenates it for another day. It was a surrender to mind for the last few days and its order to sneak under the duvet early, hence no post. At times, I feel, I give in too easily and too soon. Endurance is one virtue, I lack measurably. Thought of stretching it a bit today and decided to scribble something. Memory struggles to playback images of the day and the one gone by. The grind continues as it’s been a professionally pressing schedule since a week.

It’s not a daily occurrence when your well oiled and serviced vehicle throws surprises. Yesterday, for all the places, at a busy traffic signal she refused to move, paying no heed to blaring horns behind. It took a while to realize that the tank had dried and the fuel indicator got stuck midway. Towing it to a place away from the moving traffic was a task in itself and a bigger one waiting in refueling it. The nearest petrol pump was not very far but the chances of being denied petrol in cans were high. We tried our chance and the genuine cause written all over helped us fill our cans and ignite the cylinders once again. The incident quite amused me as it was totally unexpected and hadn’t happen with me before. Also reminding that wear and tear has set it in at uncommon places in the gaddi…

Hey Arun, I always admired your ability to narrate the incidents so playfully. Great going buddy !! I am sure If I too decide to scribble something, you would be the first person among the list of people from whom I would draw my inspiration.
